Most kids dreamed of being astronauts, or doctors, or teachers... when I was a child, my lifelong goal was to get to be Alice at Disneyland. I mean serious #goals right? Following that, I would have said my sights were set on the Broadway stage. And although I spent many years on the stage, and even at a performing arts high school (Fame anyone?), it wasn't until several years into adulthood when I purchased my first digital camera. To be honest, I got it to document my travels around the world. But then one day I was asked if I would document a friend's wedding because I took "pretty pictures." I'm not sure what compelled me to say yes, but it was like a lightbulb went off. I was OBSESSED. I finally had an excuse to EAT CAKE on a regular basis. Too late, property owners become aware of the ongoing effect of this trapped water on structural and contents materials, which may include: discoloration, warping, splitting, delamination, and musty odor, and mold growth. That’s where the certified water restoration professional comes in. He or she will be qualified through formal training and experience to remove excess water efficiently, promote efficient evaporation, and to establish the dehumidification conditions necessary to stop ongoing damage. Moreover, they can document the return of your property and contents to normal conditions to ensure that future problems will not be experienced. The consequences of ineffective restoration – including possible health effects – are far too great to leave water damage improperly restored.
