Most kids dreamed of being astronauts, or doctors, or teachers... when I was a child, my lifelong goal was to get to be Alice at Disneyland. I mean serious #goals right? Following that, I would have said my sights were set on the Broadway stage. And although I spent many years on the stage, and even at a performing arts high school (Fame anyone?), it wasn't until several years into adulthood when I purchased my first digital camera. To be honest, I got it to document my travels around the world. But then one day I was asked if I would document a friend's wedding because I took "pretty pictures." I'm not sure what compelled me to say yes, but it was like a lightbulb went off. I was OBSESSED. I finally had an excuse to EAT CAKE on a regular basis. Temecula Valley Historical Society Antique Store
The Temecula Valley Historical Society was founded in 2001. The Society is a 501(c)(3) corporation. Our mission is identifying, preserving and promoting the historic legacy of the Temecula valley. Projects have included the placement of plaques and markers on historic buildings and sites in Old Town Temecula, the restoration of the Louis Wolf Tomb, the restoration of a stagecoach and the production of a DVD about the local history. The Society provides self guided walking tour maps of Old Town Temecula to local shopkeepers for public distribution. Monthly meetings are held at the Little Temecula History Museum which include speaker presentations on the local history of Temecula Valley. The Society also organizes local field trips as well as sending out volunteers to the community to educate children on the valley's historic legacy. We invite you to browse around our web site.
