Seniors are often looked at as easy targets by some who are looking to make a quick sale, and that has made many in the community wary of doing business with anyone that uses high-pressure tactics. Ours was a genesis of necessity; flooring stores were closing everywhere, and, as a flooring contractor, we needed to generate business any way we could. The first few years were very rough. Weeks would go by when we saw only a handful of customers walk through our doors. As we generated more and more of a foothold in the local community, we started to receive references from previous clients, and that got us through the tumultuous economy into which we first opened our doors.
