With a mission of enriching the community through the power of the arts, the California Center for the Arts, Escondido Foundation is an independent 501 (c) nonprofit organization contracted to manage the Center’s facilities by the City of Escondido. After the people of Escondido voted to fund the Center in June 1985, the City entrusted its management to the CCAE Foundation. As a nonprofit dedicated to prioritizing the community’s cultural and artistic needs, the Foundation was uniquely equipped to bring this vision to life with excellence and unwavering commitment. For the past 30 years, the Foundation has been a steadfast steward of the comprehensive facilities. Over the years a volunteer Board of Trustees composed of community leaders, has worked tirelessly to govern the facilities’ management and cultivate an environment where the arts could flourish and the community could thrive.
