About Sun City Hardware Welcome to Sun City Hardware! Sun City Hardware has always been a locally owned and operated hardware store. The company was started in the early 1960's with Len Stark being the original owner. Jack and Alice Miller ran the store through the 1970's. In 1982 Rex and Lorene Brinneman bought the business from the Miller's and named it Sun City Gift and Hardware. Rex ran the hardware side of the store while Lorene maintained the gift items. In 2000 the store moved into their new building that sits adjacent from the original shopping center in Sun City, where it had been for nearly 40 years.
