Our Story We are a mall-based specialty retailer of action sports related apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories operating under the Zumiez brand name. We operate stores primarily located in shopping malls, and have a presence in the United States, Canada, and Europe. We were founded in 1978, originally under the name “Above the Belt” by Thomas D. Campion, our Chairman. Our current CEO, Richard M. Brooks joined us as Chief Financial Officer in 1993. Our stores cater to young men and women between the ages of 12 and 25 who seek popular brands representing a lifestyle centered on activities that include skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, BMX and motocross. We support the action sports lifestyle and promote our brand through a multi-faceted marketing approach that is designed to integrate our brand image with our customers' activities and interests. This approach combined with our differentiated merchandising strategy, focus on an omni-channel purchasing process, store design, comprehensive training programs and passionate employees, allows us to provide an experience for our customers that we believe is consistent with their attitudes, fashion tastes and identities and is otherwise unavailable in most malls. Our stores bring the look and feel of an independent specialty shop to the mall by emphasizing the action sports lifestyle through a distinctive store environment and high-energy sales personnel. We seek to staff our stores with store associates who are knowledgeable users of our products, which we believe provides our customers with enhanced customer service and supplements our ability to identify and react quickly to emerging trends and fashions. We design our stores to appeal to teenagers and to serve as a destination for our customers. Most of our stores, which average approximately 2,900 square feet, feature couches and action sports-oriented video game stations that are intended to encourage our customers to shop for longer periods of time and to interact with each other and our store associates. To increase customer traffic, we generally locate our stores near busy areas of the mall such as food courts, movie theaters, music or game stores and other popular teen retailers. Destination Temecula Wine Tours and Experiences
Dave Wilson moved to Temecula in 1991 to serve as the opening Director of Sales and Marketing for a brand-new area hotel. At that time the entire Temecula Valley consisted of ~27,000 residents (compared to over 600,000 today), ONE stoplight and seven wineries. That same year, partnering with the then Executive Director of the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce, they created the valley’s first tourism committee, Dave chairing the initial two years. This committee ultimately segued to today’s non-profit “Visit Temecula Valley”. Two factors crystalized his awareness of the opportunities to come and were key in Dave’s decision to take the plunge and step away from the corporate world to follow his dream to be an entrepreneur. A tourism project he spearheaded as committee chair reinforced his awareness of the amazing mix (even at that very early stage) and breadth of area attributes attractive to visitors such as the valley’s distinct scenery and topography, weather, historical significance and area activities including golf, wine tasting and outdoor recreation. Working with a graphic artist, he conceptualized, composed all descriptive text, then sold the advertising to fund Temecula’s first two visitor’s guides. [read more]

Cantor's Driving School - Serving All Of Riverside County
Allan Cantor opened the first Cantor’s Driving School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1976. This father of four was a History Teacher and Disciplinarian at Overbrook High School in West Philadelphia. He began teaching students how to drive part-time and on the weekends. Soon, he had taught nearly every teen in the area how to drive. Allan was the best driving instructor around. He was known for his jovial personality and relatability with his students. A stop off to grab a famous Philadelphia cheesesteak during a lesson was not out of the question – and something his students loved about him. Of course it was the 1970s and times were different then, but Cantor’s Driving School has always been about Family, Community, and Safety. As years went by, Cantor’s Driving School grew into the neighboring Philadelphia suburbs. And as his children grew, his youngest son Frank joined the family business. Learning the ins-and-outs of being a great driving instructor from his father, Frank was able to expand Cantor’s Driving School into 5 states – Pennsylvania, Florida, Nevada, Arizona, and California. The story begins in Prescott, Arizona... The Jesus People Movement was sweeping America and multitudes of young people were being profoundly saved and converted to Christ. While many of the traditional churches closed their doors to the long haired, denim clad hippies, Pastor Wayman Mitchell received them with open arms. Pastor Mitchells solid grounding in the Word of God and his passion to take the Gospel into all the world was soon imparted in to the hearts of many zealous new converts. In a few short years, several young couples were launched into surrounding cities to pioneer new churches. In 1976, following the pattern that had been set in Prescott AZ, a couple was sent into Tempe, AZ to begin a new church. From there a couple was sent into San Diego, CA. Another church was formed when San Diego sent a couple into Imperial Beach, CA. It was in the Imperial Beach church that Uriel Servin Jr was saved, baptized, and was eventually sent to assume leadership of the church in Temecula, CA from Pastor Justin Carl who answered the call to go to Betim, Brazil. The Cheesecake Factory
In the 1940s, Evelyn Overton found a recipe in her local Detroit newspaper that inspired her “Original” cheesecake. Everyone loved her recipe so much she decided to open a small bakery, but eventually gave it up to focus on raising her children, David and Renee. She moved her baking equipment to her basement kitchen and continued to sell cakes to some of the best restaurants in town. In 1972, Evelyn and her husband Oscar moved to Los Angeles to try one last time to have their own business. With the last of their savings, they opened The Cheesecake Factory Bakery and began selling Evelyn’s cheesecakes to restaurants throughout L.A. Their son David decided to open a restaurant in Beverly Hills in 1978 to showcase his mother’s cakes. Somehow, he just knew that a restaurant with an extensive dessert menu would be a hit.
