We opened Tasty Noodle House with the belief that using fresh and wholesome ingredients from the start makes for the best tasting food. Our dishes are made with just the right blend of Western and Chinese flavors and spices. Johnny Pan, the founder of Tasty Noodle House, credits much of what we serve today to what he learned in his childhood cooking with his mother, a trained and first-rate chef in Shanghai. Ten years ago, we opened our first store in Hacienda Heights with 12 tables and heaps of noodles, pork buns, and some dumplings (of course). We made all our dumplings and buns by hand in our kitchen, and our noodles were made-to-order, fresh, and delivered twice a week by a local noodle company. Our noodles are always fresh, made with eggs, flour, and no artificial flavors or chemicals. Five years later, after a lot of hard work and a bit of luck, we opened four more locations and our own kitchen facility to make consistently delicious buns and dumplings to supply each of our locations daily. Allan Cantor opened the first Cantor’s Driving School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1976. This father of four was a History Teacher and Disciplinarian at Overbrook High School in West Philadelphia. He began teaching students how to drive part-time and on the weekends. Soon, he had taught nearly every teen in the area how to drive. Allan was the best driving instructor around. He was known for his jovial personality and relatability with his students. A stop off to grab a famous Philadelphia cheesesteak during a lesson was not out of the question – and something his students loved about him. Of course it was the 1970s and times were different then, but Cantor’s Driving School has always been about Family, Community, and Safety. As years went by, Cantor’s Driving School grew into the neighboring Philadelphia suburbs. And as his children grew, his youngest son Frank joined the family business. Learning the ins-and-outs of being a great driving instructor from his father, Frank was able to expand Cantor’s Driving School into 5 states – Pennsylvania, Florida, Nevada, Arizona, and California.
