About The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Temecula Attending church each Sunday is a respite from fast-paced daily living. Worship with a community of people who are trying to be more Christlike and learn from each other. There are two meetings in a two hour time. The main meeting is called sacrament meeting. This meeting consists of songs, prayers, and sermons (or “talks”) given by different members of the congregation and take the sacrament (or Communion). Panchito comes from boxing royalty, many in Mexico believe his uncle/trainer Humberto “Betillo’ Jimenez is one of the best boxers of its era. Panchito has produce and train numerous World Champs on both side of the border, which includes his son Jose Alfredo Jimenez ( WBC) #1 rank in 1990, His nephew Betillo Jimenez Youth WBC Champion (2011), His niece Leticia Gutierrez (WBO) classified to name a few. Certified USA Amateur Boxing Coach License Professional Boxing Coach Joseph Rodrigues As a Southeast Academy of Military and Law Enforcement graduate, Joseph has become a key developer in enhancing and developing military cadet’s physical reediness and now he shares his knowledge with amateurs and Professional Boxers and MMA fighters. He has the technique and knowledge to utilize cross functioning training as a conditioning coach, you would be glad he puts the interest of his athletes first, and provides some of the most successful s strength and conditioning programs in the world. Certified USA Amateur Boxing Coach Juwawn Hairston Juwawn is a well-respected instructor, he represented the All Marine Boxing Team and fought in many top level national and international competition as an amateur boxer in the early 1990’s. 1909 Temecula, founded in September 2014, is a tribute to the Machado building, the location where the restaurant and bar now lives. Our name, 1909, comes from the year our building was re-built after burning down in 1908. Well before the 1909 burger was created, our building was home to a trading post, livery, auto shop, church and most notably a bar. During the 60's & 70's, the Long Branch Saloon was known as the roughest place in town to get a drink. Locals often stop in and tell stories of brawls and shootings. In fact, several bullet holes still remain in the ceiling. The pickleball courts at St. Michael’s by-the-Sea were born out of community, and exist to serve the community! St. Michael’s was first introduced to this budding sport through neighbors at Carlsbad by the Sea (CBTS). In the fall of 2013 residents of CBTS were in search of a place to play their beloved sport. The two communities partnered to resurface and paint two pickleball courts in St. Michael’s north parking lot. Residents played regularly, and parishioners and clergy began to take notice! As St. Michael’s began to imagine professional courts in its vacant parcel, leadership learned (through another church partnership) of a grant opportunity through the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation. In the spring of 2015, the Foundation awarded St. Michael’s $23,400 for the establishment of two professional pickleball courts! In an effort to make the courts as accessible as possible, the St. Michael’s Pickleball Association was formed. Comprised of parishioners, residents of CBTS, and local pickleball enthusiasts from around North County, the mission of the Association is: To provide an opportunity for healthy, wholesome fun to people of all ages through the wonderful sport of pickleball!
