View ProfileBrenda is a California native, growing up in the suburbs of Los Angeles. She has always loved art and creating. She attended FIDM in Los Angeles as a Fashion Design major and ended up pursuing a career in retail fashion. She slowly moved southward through the years and raised her family of 5 children in the beautiful Temecula valley where she still resides today. She now has 12 grandchildren and all her family near by which is her joy in life. For over 5 years Brenda taught painting at the local wineries under her previous company name of Artfusion-BDK and was awarded Best of Temecula in 2018. She has since stopped teaching to focus on her art and have more time with her husband and family. Her art was featured in the JAZZ in MEE Magazine (Oct. 2014) and she was the cover story for the Inland Entrepreneur Magazine (Oct. 2015). She continues to work as a Buyer for an online company and pursue her passion of creating every chance she gets. [read more]
View ProfileWith a mission of enriching the community through the power of the arts, the California Center for the Arts, Escondido Foundation is an independent 501 (c) nonprofit organization contracted to manage the Center’s facilities by the City of Escondido. After the people of Escondido voted to fund the Center in June 1985, the City entrusted its management to the CCAE Foundation. As a nonprofit dedicated to prioritizing the community’s cultural and artistic needs, the Foundation was uniquely equipped to bring this vision to life with excellence and unwavering commitment. For the past 30 years, the Foundation has been a steadfast steward of the comprehensive facilities. Over the years a volunteer Board of Trustees composed of community leaders, has worked tirelessly to govern the facilities’ management and cultivate an environment where the arts could flourish and the community could thrive. To underscore the Foundation’s commitment to its mission and stewardship of the facilities, the Board of Trustees, staff, volunteers and community members met in spring of 2024 to create a strategic plan as a roadmap to success to be executed over the next five years.
