I thought “hmm, that might not be a fit for me because I’m already tan.” Wow, was I wrong about that. My passion for spray tanning only blossomed from there! As an adoptee, growing up my skin tone was something that I was insecure about. I wasn’t surrounded by anyone that looked like me or had my darker features. One day, my grandma sat me down with a popular magazine and we looked through it together. She pointed out all the beautiful celebrity women with rich skin tones and the ones with spray tans. She told me “honey, your skin is beautiful and people pay to look like you!” I started Sprayed Sultry to help other women feel beautiful in their own skin! I have been spray tan certified since 2016. Allan Cantor opened the first Cantor’s Driving School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1976. This father of four was a History Teacher and Disciplinarian at Overbrook High School in West Philadelphia. He began teaching students how to drive part-time and on the weekends. Soon, he had taught nearly every teen in the area how to drive. Allan was the best driving instructor around. He was known for his jovial personality and relatability with his students. A stop off to grab a famous Philadelphia cheesesteak during a lesson was not out of the question – and something his students loved about him. Of course it was the 1970s and times were different then, but Cantor’s Driving School has always been about Family, Community, and Safety. As years went by, Cantor’s Driving School grew into the neighboring Philadelphia suburbs. And as his children grew, his youngest son Frank joined the family business. Learning the ins-and-outs of being a great driving instructor from his father, Frank was able to expand Cantor’s Driving School into 5 states – Pennsylvania, Florida, Nevada, Arizona, and California. Today, Frank Cantor owns and operates Cantor’s Driving School with his wife, Cheri, continuing the tradition of a family-owned and operated business.
