Classic Yoga has been practiced for over 5000 years. Through the integration of postures (asanas), breath-work (pranayama), meditation (dhyana), and soothing sound (dharana), Yogis (male practitioners) and Yoginis (female practitioners) discovered they could achieve physical conditioning, improve vitality, create inner calmness, and enjoy a heightened sense of wellbeing. Today, we translate these benefits into stress reduction, muscle strengthening and improved range of motion, improved flexibility and balance, increased breath capacity and improved circulation, as well as a heightened sense of wellbeing. Under the instruction of Deb Potts, a registered Yoga Alliance (RYT-200) and Certified Yoga Therapist, students are trained in the ancient practice of Yoga, incorporating current knowledge in the field of exercise physiology. Our Story Stater Bros. Markets is rooted in the American tradition and proudly celebrates a rich legacy of service to this great nation. Tracing its beginnings back to a small grocery store in Yucaipa, CA, twin brothers and World War II veterans Cleo and Leo Stater purchased the original Stater Bros. Market from W.A. Davis with a $600 down payment. In the midst of the Great Depression, Stater Bros. officially opened for business on August 17, 1936. Headquartered in San Bernardino, CA, Stater Bros. Markets is proudly celebrating 87 years of serving Southern California families. Today, Stater Bros. operates 169 supermarkets in seven counties throughout the area, and has approximately 18,000 employees with annual sales of over $4 billion. Previous Next In 1981, Stater Bros. late Executive Chairman Jack H. Brown, a proud Navy veteran born on Flag Day, took the helm of Stater Bros. Under Brown’s leadership the Company grew to become the largest privately owned Supermarket Chain in Southern California and the largest private employer in both Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Brown passed away in 2016. Prior to his passing, Brown appointed seasoned supermarket industry executive Pete Van Helden to the position of President and CEO. Van Helden also serves as our chairman of the board. Over the years Stater Bros. has become an iconic Southern California mainstay and trusted household name by consistently providing generations of customers with exceptional quality, everyday low prices, friendly service, fresh product offerings and full-service Meat Departments. The Company has been named amongst the Top 20 companies in the United States to offer exceptional job security for its employees according to a recent report published on Forbes.com. The Company has also been rated as the “best place to shop for groceries” among Full Service Supermarket Chains in Southern California according to a Leading National Consumer Magazine. Additionally, the Company remains steadfast in its commitment to “not just doing business in the community, but being part of the community.” Since 2008, Stater Bros. has contributed more than $80 million in food and funds to countless local organizations that support hunger relief, children’s well-being, education, health, and help for our Nation’s Veterans and active service members. Our founders Cleo & Leo Sometime between 1912 and 1915, Clarence and Mary Stater moved their family from Miller, Missouri to Escondido, California. During the Depression they moved farther north to the Yucaipa Valley, a small rural community situated just south of the city of Redlands, California. The depression had taken a heavy toll on their livelihood. They were struggling and on the verge of losing their small farm. Out of desperation, the family made a decision that would shape their future and have a profound effect on thousands of lives in the years to come. It was mutually agreed that Cleo, one of the twin sons, would sacrifice his last year of high school and look for work to help support the family. Jobs were extremely scarce during the winter of 1931 but Cleo was persistent. He was willing to do anything and applied everywhere. After weeks of disappointment, he walked into a small grocery store on West Yucaipa Blvd. owned by W.A. Davis, and although Cleo had no experience and knew nothing about the grocery business, Mr. Davis agreed to pay him 10¢ an hour to man the cash register, sweep the floor and stock the shelves. Cleo worked hard and as time passed, Mr. Davis taught him how to take inventory, maintain accounting records, cut meat and everything else involved in operating a grocery store. After five years, Cleo, now 24 years old, was making $30 a week and had learned all of the business fundamentals. His loyalty and diligence had made him a valuable employee for Mr. Davis, and the educational sacrifice and the financial contribution that Cleo was able to provide helped his family recover. In 1936 Davis offered Cleo the opportunity to buy the business, which included the store and the inventory, the land, a company truck, a 10-acre apple ranch and the W.A. Davis five-room home on the corner of Yucaipa Ave. and E St., all for the total price of $10,000. Years later, Cleo recalled, “He wanted $600 as a down payment, which was like a fortune back then when a dime would buy two pounds of oleo. Then he wanted the balance in $300 monthly payments.” Cleo went to Leo, his twin brother, to discuss ways to obtain the financing. The twins sold their Chevrolets to raise the $600 down payment because, they said, “Owing that much money, we were not going anywhere anyway.” However, they were still short $300 for the first monthly installment. After exhausting all other options and about to give up, Cleo decided to take a chance and approach M.D. Holsinger, the richest man in the valley, who owned the town lumber company. Cleo recalled, “He just looked at me and said, ‘If Davis is crazy enough to sell you his store for that small price, then I guess I’m crazy enough to loan you the money.'” So the first 1,225 sq. ft. Stater Bros. Market, located on West Yucaipa Blvd. opened for business on Monday, August 17, 1936. [read more]

Bio - Vera tinoco I started dancing at six years old studying Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary dance. My love for dancing started with dancing at home on my father’s feet. My life goal was to become a MD, but a turn of events guided me to Chemistry. After graduating in Chemistry and earning a PhD in Biochemistry, I travelled the world for scientific conference, while still doing dance performances throughout Europe and Russia. After working many hours in the lab, to blow some steam off I would spend nights at the dance studio. I left Italy in 2008 to move to San Diego to work at UCSD as Biochemist. Although I spend a lot of time studying and working, I also couldn’t let go of my passion for dancing. After integrating into my community, I fell in love with Latin music and dance. After doing experiments in the lab during the day, I spent the nights watching people dance. It took me months to get the courage to go out on the dance floor, but once I did, I was hooked. Throughout the years, I took many lessons and courses and ended up dancing with some of the great dancers of our time. In 2010, I started teaching some classes for fun to share my passion for Latin dance. It was incredible to see how many people shared my excitement and enjoyed my way to teach. After teaching classes for a few years, I had the thought, could I own my own dance company? During one of my classes, I had the luck to meet the man that I would eventually marry and have two wonderful children with. After spending 17 years in different labs all over the world doing research, I choose to have a family and raise my children. At that point I left my science career and with the incredible support of my husband, I made my dream of owning a dance company come true, taking my part-time hobby into a full-time business. That decision allowed me to the flexibility to live life on my own terms. In 2013, I moved my company to North County to build a community for local dancers, by having regular dance classes and dance social events that regularly bring around 150 people to each event. In 2018, I incorporated and currently in the process of finding my own location to add even more classes for the community. Questions, Concerns, Thoughts about Dance -- Contact Us. [read more]

I get asked all the time how I got started grinding camshafts and building engines. I learned my love of grinding camshafts from my dad, legendary Drag Racing Hall of Famer H. Bruce Crower. As a kid I knew I wanted to follow in my father’s footsteps as soon as he started teaching me about engines. I’ve spent the last two decades grinding camshafts, building engines and testing in order to come up with the best camshaft grinds to meet my customers’ demands. We couldn’t be where we are now without working across the board with many different types of racing applications. Working with different engine configurations, engine builders and race series during the last 20+ years has helped me to develop a catalog of camshaft masters that can be applied to almost any camshaft for almost any four-stroke configuration. This catalog of masters has helped grow our product line to include Automotive, Off Road, Marine, Motorcycle, ATV, UTV and Custom ground camshafts. With over 130 of our own camshaft part numbers we usually have a camshaft to meet any customers’ needs. What sets us apart from the competition is our catalog of camshaft masters, our in house cam grinder, in house CNC lathe and our ability to custom grind cams to almost any spec. [read more]

Hey, We're The Haunt We’re a team of passionate local ghost hunters dedicated to bringing the spooky history of California to life, with humor and heart. Who We Are At The Haunt, we’re history and true crime buffs, ghost hunters, and friendly tour guides all rolled into one. We’re deeply rooted in our cities, with tours led by locals who know the ins and outs of every haunted nook and cranny. Where We’re From Born and raised in California (our founders grew up in the Bay Area and San Diego), we operate in our favorite historic cities. Most of our guides are California-raised, or have become serious fans of their city. Why We’re Legit The stories we tell are backed by research in old newspaper archives and local interviews. We’re pretty nerdy for history. The Ghost Hunting Experience At The Haunt, we believe in making our tours as interactive as possible. That’s why we equip you with modern ghost-hunting tools and take you to the very spots where history’s most spine-chilling events occurred. It’s hands-on, it’s immersive, and honestly gets spooky. How It Began Our co-founders Wes Leslie (also a musician) and Jordon Jo (also a musician) met while attending San Francisco State University in 2008, bonding over their interest in music and the unexplained. The two later moved to New Orleans, which is where they had their own paranormal encounters… Returning to San Francisco, they were determined to unearth their hometown’s hauntings, doing countless hours of research in the library, historic newspaper collections, and interviewing old timers. They launched The Haunt, and the company grew quickly, eventually hitting San Francisco’s #1 attraction on TripAdvisor. Since then, the company has won accolades, appeared on TV shows and inflight magazines, newspapers, led private events for top universities and corporations, and expanded across California. The Home Depot Rental Center at Murrieta When you're starting to dive into a major DIY job, you might not have the specialty tools you need in your shed or garage. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot Murrieta Tool Rental Center. Tool Rental Our tool rental options enlarge your toolbox with the exact tools you need to complete your project. It's not necessary to buy a specialized tool when you're not using it at least once a week. When you're thinking about buying a new tool, give it a spin before you choose which one to purchase. Whatever your situation, we have the power tools you're looking for. Leaf Blowers Try renting a leaf blower for winter yard maintenance. Spring will be here in no time, so have a leaf blower ready. It's less work than raking, and warmer, too. It's also more effective on concrete sidewalks, driveways, and hardscaping surfaces. Choose from push, walk-behind, or backpack leaf blowers, and get a jump on lawn and garden maintenance as fall changes to winter. Chainsaws Maintain the safety and beauty of the woody shrubs and trees in your yard with a rental chainsaw. Because you probably won't use this tool daily, rent it when it's time for some yard cleanup. When the leaves are off the trees, it's much easier to spot any troublesome branches and do basic trimming. We carry gas and electric chainsaws, so you're sure to find one that fits the project. Load 'N Go Trucks For large equipment rentals, we keep flatbed trucks ready to rent. We'll have the right size for your project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your trusted source for packing, DIY and storage, it's easy to make us your source for truck rental as well. Whether you're in need of power tools like miter saws, everyday tools like drills, or large industry tools such as concrete mixers, we've got you covered. We'll even rent you the vehicle to transport it to your home. Let us help you complete your next DIY project with the best tools and transport for the project. [read more]

The Secret Tesla Master Plan (Just Between You and Me) Elon Musk, Co-Founder and CEO of Tesla Motors, August 2, 2006 As you know, Tesla's first product was a high-performance electric sports car called the Tesla Roadster. However, some readers may not be aware that our long-term plan is to produce different models of cars, including affordable family cars. This is because the primary purpose of Tesla (and the reason I invested in the company) is to help advance the transition from an economy based on the extraction and combustion of hydrocarbon fuels to a solar electric economy. I believe this is the main solution for sustainable development, though not the only one. To achieve this goal, it is crucial to produce electric vehicles without compromise. The purpose of the Tesla Roadster is to directly face and defeat gasoline-powered sports cars like those from Porsche or Ferrari. Moreover, on top of that, its energy efficiency is twice that of the Prius. Nevertheless, some people still ask what good this does for the world. Do we really need another high-performance sports car? Can it really have an impact on the global carbon emissions problem? Well, the answer is no, not much. But that's not the point, unless you understand the secret master plan mentioned at the beginning of this article. Almost all new technologies initially have a high unit cost and will gradually be improved over time, and this is also true for electric vehicles. Tesla's strategy is to enter the high-end market, where consumers are willing to pay a higher price. Then, with the launch of each subsequent model, we aim to move towards a larger market as quickly as possible with greater production volume and lower prices. I can say that our second model will be a four-door sports family car, priced at around half of the Tesla Roadster's price ($89,000), while sacrificing not too many other features. And the price of the third model will be even more affordable. As a rapidly growing technology company, all of our free cash flow is invested in research and development to reduce costs and bring subsequent products to market as soon as possible. When someone buys a Tesla Roadster sports car, they are actually helping to cover the development costs of the family car. [read more]
