Owner and operator Diana Lefort set out to establish a unique way for everyone to experience the beauty of Temecula Valley’s Wine Country. The result was Wine Country Trails by Horseback. Diana is a local resident whose passion and more than 3 decades of experience with horses provides a safe, relaxing and memorable experience to all riders. The rides are conducted with the highest level of professionalism and service with experienced and knowledgeable guides that work hard to exceed your expectations. But that's not the whole story... Over the years there has been a dramatic increase in the number of horses abused by their owners. These horses are often abandoned or just turned loose to fend for themselves, usually resulting in starvation and loss of life. Through the assistance of a local veterinarian, Diana has rehabilitated more than 50 horses. Living comfortably on a 20 acre ranch in Temecula Valley, these lovely horses get the treatment and care that they deserve while happily fulfilling a purpose once again. Through your patronage and support we can continue to take in more of these amazing animals. All proceeds are used for feed, medical care, and farrier services. Through natural horsemanship training we can recondition, rehabilitate and retrain these horses to live a healthy and productive life. Our experienced trainers evaluate each and every horse and condition them for touring guests through the vineyards. Every rescue horse will not fit this program. Those that do not are released to carefully selected owners after completing a rigorous interview process. Your support is truly appreciated! Hi, I'm Pia. I started Artisan's Palate in June 2013. When we first opened, I curated a variety of artisan products primarily from local talent. What was most important to me at the time was that the items I chose had to taste good. That was easy for me to decide since I was a self-professed foodie, and felt I was an experienced judge based on my world travels, and my penchant for entertaining. Well, I was wrong! I was choosing a lot of product that had one thing in common; SUGAR! And, a lot of it, from chocolate to cupcakes, and spreads to sauces. Then I realized these items had other things in common, like soy and wheat. My mind was still thinking that soy and wheat were healthy alternatives, and as long as it's cane sugar and not high fructose corn syrup, then it's okay. I was completely indoctrinated in the industrial food system and didn't even know it! As I continued to peddle over-priced, sugar fueled items, I started to listen to my customers and most importantly learn. I learned the most important lesson to date, HAVE AN OPEN MIND. I could have easily continued with what I was doing but I didn't. I changed my way of eating and that of my husband's progressively ever since. Artisan's Palate, saved my life! Since then, we've experienced tremendous growth and we are proud to say that we are influencing and helping others every single day. There is no greater feeling than knowing that my customers and some of my family members are open to change and they're making a real difference on their health journey. I still curate, I just don't curate items that have junk industrial ingredients. The store represents my journey, so I'm always bringing in new items. What hasn't changed is that the items still have to taste great, if they don't, then they don't get put on the shelf. Come and visit us, and start your health journey. Surf Ride Boardshop
Surf Ride was founded in 1974 by twin brothers Bill and Richard Bernard with the original and flagship location being in Oceanside on Coast Hwy. Bill and Richard started out in a little 800 sqf adobe building on what was then called "Hill Street" in Oceanside CA. Originally a Hobie Cat dealership with a focus on the core sports of the ocean. As sailing became less popular and every time it rained in Oceanside the adobe building would leak water through the walls and the streets would flood the front door, the brothers decided it was time to build a new building. They knew that they needed one that could fulfill the dreams they had of becoming Californias premier destination shop for all things SURF! In 1984 they began construction on what is now Surf Ride. The building was originally split into 3 different business with a restaurant on the side. As business improved and the need for more space was fulfilled by tearing down walls and expanding the surf department. Business was booming for surf and after 13 years they decided it was time to open an second location. In 1997 the Solan Beach location was opened up. The 7,500 sqf store was custom built from the ground up to house the largest surfboard selection in California. By 2005 the brothers had both had enough of the daily grind and decided to retire and let the next generation take over the business. Dustin and Josh Bernard stepped in to let their dad and uncle chase the dream of sailing the South Pacific and surfing perfect waves in warm water. Today, Dustin is actively shaping surfboards for Surf Ride under the SR/MFG label and Josh is the active CEO of Surf Ride. Surf Ride Boardshops are truly one of the last surviving core family owned surf shops in AMERICA. Surf Ride specializes in having the best boards, wetsuits, and clothing that the surf industry has to offer. They also have an amazing fleet of rental boards both foam boards and custom hand shaped epoxy boards. During the summer Surf Ride Surf Camp is the best place for kids to learn how to surf! Temecula Valley Cable Car Wine Tours
In May of 2006, Mike and Debbie, the owner-operators of Temecula Valley Cable Car Wine Tours had purchased a motorized 1914 San Francisco cable car. Debbie was reluctant of the purchase because of the shape it was in, but Mike could visualize a restored cable car running through Temecula and he couldn’t wait to restore the car to its former glory! It took over two years to refurbish and fully-restore the cable car to its original conditions, but with a lot of patience, sandpaper, paint, and mechanical parts, the cable car was restored and set off to cruise through the beautiful Temecula wine country. Our San Francisco cable car is the only historical moving monument left in the United States, and even though the cable car is motorized, passengers will experience the feel and essence of San Francisco as they experience Temecula Valley wine country!
