Temecula United Methodist Church
Temecula United Methodist Church The History of Temecula United Methodist Church The Rev. David French served as a Missionary to India for a few years and then returned to serve churches in the southern California area including Corona UMC from 1979-1985. While on a sabbatical leave in 1986, David went to the Bishop and told him that he would like to start a church. The Bishop said “yes” and the rest is history. On July 1, 1987 Rev. French was sent to Temecula to start a church without buildings and without people! At the same time, land had been purchased by the denomination at the current site, a nice hill-top campus just north of Temecula High School below the water tower off Margarita Road. Rev. French immediately began knocking on doors and soon a flock of followers said, “Yes” and the first of five temporary worship facilities were rented around the city. The church continued to grow and in 1995 the first construction phase was completed to the joy of everyone! Rev. French retired in 1997 and the Rev. Dr. Randy Johnson was assigned to continue the church. In 1998, donations again were received and a major second phase of construction was completed that now included expanded worship space, a kitchen, and new offices. The church continued to grow and in 2002, once more the congregation raised funds to build a third phase of construction that included a dedicated space for youth ministry and other classrooms plus two new bathrooms! In July, 2014, Rev. Rick Malec was assigned as Pastor of Temecula United Methodist Church. Under his leadership we continued to upgrade our facilities and our audio-visual equipment. With ample facilities the congregation now totals about 300 members with around 175 in worship each Sunday. Rev. Malec retired from ministry in June of 2024. [read more]

The Press Espresso's journey began with the desire to create better coffee at home and then share the fun ritual with others. Husband and wife team DeShun and Yasmine met over shared similar interests in college for photography and fashion design and eventually the craft of roasting and brewing coffee. Vince’s Spaghetti restaurants are the only restaurants for Real Italian Spaghetti. When Vince’s Spaghetti first opened in Ontario, California in September 1945; it was a simple, six stool, open air restaurant without a kitchen. Back then, Grandma Rose prepared all of the food in her kitchen 50 yards away and hand carried it to the customers. The original Vince’s Spaghetti was located on Highway 70-99, which was the main road to Palm Springs at the time. The business was run by three brothers and their wives. By 1968, Vince’s was billed as the largest spaghetti restaurant west of the Mississippi River (with a kitchen!), seating more than 400 people. Today, because of your patronage, we’ve grown to 3 locations, all family owned and operated, still serving Grandma Rose’s original recipes. The Temecula location is an Express specializing in serving the community the original recipes as our historic first location yet ready for your both for Dine-In and for Drive-Thru.
