After a few years of having solar panels installed on my home, I noticed a decrease in production and at the end of the year, the true-up bill was higher than expected. I then decided to go up on my roof and realized the panels were very dirty! At this point, I contacted the solar company that installed my solar system to have them cleaned. They told me their company does not provide any kind of routine maintenance, which was disappointing. So I did some research and found the best method to properly clean any solar array. I bought a soft bristle brush and cleaned my panels. After cleaning the panels the first time, I was blown away and noticed a little over 30% increase in production. During my commute to work, I realized that there were a lot of dirty solar panels out there and no one cleaning them, this is when “Mr. Glossy LLC” was born. My company now uses the best methods and tools necessary to accomplish amazing results. We use a boars hair brush with distilled water to get the best clean and spotless dry. In 1989 Jens Molbak was sitting in his dorm room at Stanford University, staring at a jar of coins on his desk, trying to think of the easiest way he could turn all that loose change into some much-needed cash. He realized that there was simply no way to do it. Founding Coinstar two years later, Jens aimed to create an easy and convenient way for people to turn their loose change into spending money without having to sort, roll, and take it to the bank. Along with two classmates, he built a kiosk that could accurately do all of the hard work. This meant that all the customer had to focus on was how they were going to spend the cash they got back. By 1992, the kiosk was ready for its first installation and Coinstar was subsequently named one of the fastest growing companies in the US. Fast forward to today, and Jens’ vision of helping people make their coins go further is bigger than he could have predicted.
