Bel Vino is an old-fashioned and traditional winery. This boutique winery and its large 40 acre vineyard provide the most spectacular views in Temecula Wine Country. The Winery has a rustic authenticity, and its Barrel Tasting Room is warm, friendly and educational. Bel Vino is a fully functioning and self-contained winery that has been in business since 1996, and under visionary new ownership since late 2011. Our Heritage Our story begins in 1971 along the cobblestone streets of Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. It was here where Starbucks opened its first store, offering fresh-roasted coffee beans, tea and spices from around the world for our customers to take home. Our name was inspired by the classic tale, “Moby-Dick,” evoking the seafaring tradition of the early coffee traders. Ten years later, a young New Yorker named Howard Schultz would walk through these doors and become captivated with Starbucks coffee from his first sip. After joining the company in 1982, a different cobblestone road would lead him to another discovery. It was on a trip to Milan in 1983 that Howard first experienced Italy’s coffeehouses, and he returned to Seattle inspired to bring the warmth and artistry of its coffee culture to Starbucks. The Kilted Cake was founded in November 2012 by owners Josh & Vanessa Holtkamp. Vanessa has been a longtime baker of cakes, cookies, and all things sweet, but decided to take things to the next level when she began working at Pila's Pantry, our former store. After working for Pila's for several years, Vanessa and her husband Josh realized a passion and joy working in this industry and took the plunge in purchasing the shop.
