Our doctors refuse to do that. They embrace the strengths of multiple healthcare modalities recognizing the value in utilizing more than one approach to treating a condition. We believe that the integration and combination of healthcare models can yield much better health outcomes. We understand that a properly functioning human body is not a factor of prescribing the right medication. The medication comes in more forms than just a pharmaceutical drug. Certain pharmaceuticals are beneficial, but nutritional supplements and lifestyle changes have proven to have much better long-term results. We believe that true healing is possible and comes from getting the body back into balance and giving it the proper nutrition it needs to thrive at an optimal level. St. Michael's Pickleball
The pickleball courts at St. Michael’s by-the-Sea were born out of community, and exist to serve the community! St. Michael’s was first introduced to this budding sport through neighbors at Carlsbad by the Sea (CBTS). In the fall of 2013 residents of CBTS were in search of a place to play their beloved sport. The two communities partnered to resurface and paint two pickleball courts in St. Michael’s north parking lot. Residents played regularly, and parishioners and clergy began to take notice! As St. Michael’s began to imagine professional courts in its vacant parcel, leadership learned (through another church partnership) of a grant opportunity through the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation. In the spring of 2015, the Foundation awarded St. Michael’s $23,400 for the establishment of two professional pickleball courts! In an effort to make the courts as accessible as possible, the St. Michael’s Pickleball Association was formed. Comprised of parishioners, residents of CBTS, and local pickleball enthusiasts from around North County, the mission of the Association is: To provide an opportunity for healthy, wholesome fun to people of all ages through the wonderful sport of pickleball! We opened Tasty Noodle House with the belief that using fresh and wholesome ingredients from the start makes for the best tasting food. Our dishes are made with just the right blend of Western and Chinese flavors and spices. Johnny Pan, the founder of Tasty Noodle House, credits much of what we serve today to what he learned in his childhood cooking with his mother, a trained and first-rate chef in Shanghai. Ten years ago, we opened our first store in Hacienda Heights with 12 tables and heaps of noodles, pork buns, and some dumplings (of course). We made all our dumplings and buns by hand in our kitchen, and our noodles were made-to-order, fresh, and delivered twice a week by a local noodle company. Our noodles are always fresh, made with eggs, flour, and no artificial flavors or chemicals. Five years later, after a lot of hard work and a bit of luck, we opened four more locations and our own kitchen facility to make consistently delicious buns and dumplings to supply each of our locations daily.
