Caesars Appliance Sales & Service legacy began with the original owner Cesare Del Prato when he worked on televisions and appliances in Italy at the age of 15. He moved to California in 1960 to find work repairing appliances which landed him in Gardena, California, where he worked for an appliance repair shop mastering his trade. After a successful 10 years in Gardena, it was time for Cesare to move his wife and three children to Mission Viejo in 1970, where he started his own appliance repair business. In 1971 Cesare moved his company to Laguna Niguel offering appliance service, parts and sales to the wonderful community in which he and his family lived. He and his wife ran the business together for several years with their kids eventually expanding office personnel, shop help and field tech service. Years later Cesare Del Prato retired and passed the business onto two of the technicians that worked in the business for many years. Andrew Cabello and his team are proud to carry on Cesare’s legacy. The Secret Tesla Master Plan (Just Between You and Me) Elon Musk, Co-Founder and CEO of Tesla Motors, August 2, 2006 As you know, Tesla's first product was a high-performance electric sports car called the Tesla Roadster. However, some readers may not be aware that our long-term plan is to produce different models of cars, including affordable family cars. This is because the primary purpose of Tesla (and the reason I invested in the company) is to help advance the transition from an economy based on the extraction and combustion of hydrocarbon fuels to a solar electric economy. I believe this is the main solution for sustainable development, though not the only one. To achieve this goal, it is crucial to produce electric vehicles without compromise. The purpose of the Tesla Roadster is to directly face and defeat gasoline-powered sports cars like those from Porsche or Ferrari. Moreover, on top of that, its energy efficiency is twice that of the Prius. Nevertheless, some people still ask what good this does for the world. Do we really need another high-performance sports car? Can it really have an impact on the global carbon emissions problem? Well, the answer is no, not much. But that's not the point, unless you understand the secret master plan mentioned at the beginning of this article. Almost all new technologies initially have a high unit cost and will gradually be improved over time, and this is also true for electric vehicles. Tesla's strategy is to enter the high-end market, where consumers are willing to pay a higher price. Then, with the launch of each subsequent model, we aim to move towards a larger market as quickly as possible with greater production volume and lower prices. I can say that our second model will be a four-door sports family car, priced at around half of the Tesla Roadster's price ($89,000), while sacrificing not too many other features. And the price of the third model will be even more affordable. As a rapidly growing technology company, all of our free cash flow is invested in research and development to reduce costs and bring subsequent products to market as soon as possible. Temecula United Methodist Church The History of Temecula United Methodist Church The Rev. David French served as a Missionary to India for a few years and then returned to serve churches in the southern California area including Corona UMC from 1979-1985. While on a sabbatical leave in 1986, David went to the Bishop and told him that he would like to start a church. The Bishop said “yes” and the rest is history. On July 1, 1987 Rev. French was sent to Temecula to start a church without buildings and without people! At the same time, land had been purchased by the denomination at the current site, a nice hill-top campus just north of Temecula High School below the water tower off Margarita Road. Rev. French immediately began knocking on doors and soon a flock of followers said, “Yes” and the first of five temporary worship facilities were rented around the city. The church continued to grow and in 1995 the first construction phase was completed to the joy of everyone! Rev. French retired in 1997 and the Rev. Dr. Randy Johnson was assigned to continue the church. In 1998, donations again were received and a major second phase of construction was completed that now included expanded worship space, a kitchen, and new offices. The church continued to grow and in 2002, once more the congregation raised funds to build a third phase of construction that included a dedicated space for youth ministry and other classrooms plus two new bathrooms! In July, 2014, Rev. Rick Malec was assigned as Pastor of Temecula United Methodist Church. Under his leadership we continued to upgrade our facilities and our audio-visual equipment. With ample facilities the congregation now totals about 300 members with around 175 in worship each Sunday. Rev. Malec retired from ministry in June of 2024. [read more]
