Tesla Supercharger
The Secret Tesla Master Plan (Just Between You and Me) Elon Musk, Co-Founder and CEO of Tesla Motors, August 2, 2006 As you know, Tesla's first product was a high-performance electric sports car called the Tesla Roadster. However, some readers may not be aware that our long-term plan is to produce different models of cars, including affordable family cars. This is because the primary purpose of Tesla (and the reason I invested in the company) is to help advance the transition from an economy based on the extraction and combustion of hydrocarbon fuels to a solar electric economy. I believe this is the main solution for sustainable development, though not the only one. To achieve this goal, it is crucial to produce electric vehicles without compromise. The purpose of the Tesla Roadster is to directly face and defeat gasoline-powered sports cars like those from Porsche or Ferrari. Moreover, on top of that, its energy efficiency is twice that of the Prius. Nevertheless, some people still ask what good this does for the world. Do we really need another high-performance sports car? Can it really have an impact on the global carbon emissions problem? Well, the answer is no, not much. But that's not the point, unless you understand the secret master plan mentioned at the beginning of this article. Almost all new technologies initially have a high unit cost and will gradually be improved over time, and this is also true for electric vehicles. Tesla's strategy is to enter the high-end market, where consumers are willing to pay a higher price. Then, with the launch of each subsequent model, we aim to move towards a larger market as quickly as possible with greater production volume and lower prices. I can say that our second model will be a four-door sports family car, priced at around half of the Tesla Roadster's price ($89,000), while sacrificing not too many other features. And the price of the third model will be even more affordable. As a rapidly growing technology company, all of our free cash flow is invested in research and development to reduce costs and bring subsequent products to market as soon as possible. When someone buys a Tesla Roadster sports car, they are actually helping to cover the development costs of the family car. [read more]

Stehly Farms Organics
Years before the Stehly Family began farming in Valley Center, the roots of Stehly Farms stretch back to the agriculture days of Orange County, CA. Nicholas J Stehly founded the original farm in the 1920′s, and was later acquired by Jerome Stehly Sr. where he continued farming. As the population in Orange County grew, farm land got thinner and the Stehly Family felt the pressure and knew it was time to get back to open land. In 1964, Jerome Sr. moved the farm to where it sits now in Valley Center, CA. In the late 1970’s, Jerome Sr. decided to shift his focus from inside the chicken barn to the groves that line the 278 acre property. Jerome and Noel Stehly acquired the operation in 2002 and Stehly Farms Organics was born. [read more]

Temecula Valley Cable Car Wine Tours
In May of 2006, Mike and Debbie, the owner-operators of Temecula Valley Cable Car Wine Tours had purchased a motorized 1914 San Francisco cable car. Debbie was reluctant of the purchase because of the shape it was in, but Mike could visualize a restored cable car running through Temecula and he couldn’t wait to restore the car to its former glory! It took over two years to refurbish and fully-restore the cable car to its original conditions, but with a lot of patience, sandpaper, paint, and mechanical parts, the cable car was restored and set off to cruise through the beautiful Temecula wine country. Our San Francisco cable car is the only historical moving monument left in the United States, and even though the cable car is motorized, passengers will experience the feel and essence of San Francisco as they experience Temecula Valley wine country! Tattoos by Nina Rose
Hello! My name is Nina :) I’m a professional tattoo artist operating out of Adorn Uptown Body Art in the beautiful Uptown Village neighborhood of Vancouver, WA. Motivated by my deep love for the arts, I studied and completed a degree in Fine Arts before learning to tattoo, and I’ve been tattooing for about 5 years now! I specialize in black and gray realistic/surrealistic tattooing, with occasional bold color accents. Although my focus is on realism most often, I also love to experiment with mixing styles, and many of my pieces have abstract or graphic elements. I absolutely love tattooing, and I consider myself so lucky to have this career, and to get to share my time with the incredible people I meet in the studio everyday. I truly value making connections with my clients, and I feel that tattooing provides an wonderful opportunity to get to know, and be an active part of my community. I’m also so grateful to be a part of a process of self expression which can bring positivity into the relationship that people have with their bodies. My practice is fundamentally rooted in professionalism, cleanliness, and collaborative artistry. I strive for all of my clients to feel safe, to be heard, and to leave with a tattoo that they can be proud of. All skin types and all bodies are welcomed! As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I take particular care to maintain an inclusive environment which respects and accommodates people of different backgrounds, abilities, and identities. I want to do my best to foster a sense of belonging, respect, and dignity for everyone who shares a space with me. Thank you so much for your interest in my art, and I can’t wait to work with you!
