From 1992 to 1997, John P. O’Connell served on the Board of Directors of the Southern California Fresh Produce and Floral Council, a Southern California based trade Association. In 1996 to 1997, he served as President of the Association. In 1997 to 1998, John P. O’Connell chaired a Political Action Committee to oppose and defeat Federal Legislation designed to impose an industry surcharge on all cut flower products imported and sold in the United States. Besides the practice of Administrative law relevant to John P. O’Connell’s business and development projects, John P. O’Connell has represented other investment and business groups through the administrative law process of TUPS, CUPS, administration hearings and appeals. From 1999-2005, John P. O’Connell acted as in-house counsel and principal in various commercial projects including real estate development and construction in Orange County, Riverside County, Kern County, San Diego County and Mexico. Other business projects during this period include development of an Automotive Center and Retail Operations throughout Southern California. In 2005, John P. O’Connell went back into private law practice with the opening of offices in South Orange County and Temecula. John P.
