My name is Andi Travers. I started my Wedding Coordinating and Event planning business, Elegant Events by Andi, after my own wedding in 1995. If you found my website I have to assume you are recently engaged and let me be the first coordinator to congratulate you. I married my Best Friend in 1995, at Mandalay Beach Resort Oxnard in Ventura County California. Even though it has been said that I was born to be a wedding and event planner, I hired a Wedding Coordinator for my own wedding. I knew even back then that if I wanted to enjoy my own Special Day, I needed a professional Wedding coordinator to handle the details so I could enjoy family and friends. During my Wedding planning process, I was so organized that it was suggested to me that I become a Wedding and Event Planner. Toby Applebay, my Coordinator and mentor took me under her wing and we did many weddings together. HOW I GOT STARTED IN THE FLORAL INDUSTRY Lucky for me, I grew up with a Grandmother that owned one of the oldest & well known Flower shops in the South Bay Area. She also believed firmly in child labor LOL. Needless to say I was blessed at a very early age with a life long creative gift & priceless valuable knowledge in the flower industry <3. After several years of owning a retail flower shop, I decided to relocate to the Temecula Valley area. I wanted to start raising a family and let's be honest the cost of living is an huge plus compared to Los Angeles county. As soon as my children hit school age I created Sweet Stems Florist. I wanted to specialize specifically in designing for Events. I prefer and enjoy the Event side of floral design so much more vs the storefront retail side. As an Event Florist I feel like I am able to provide a more personalized experience to each of my clients.
