After a few years of having solar panels installed on my home, I noticed a decrease in production and at the end of the year, the true-up bill was higher than expected. I then decided to go up on my roof and realized the panels were very dirty! At this point, I contacted the solar company that installed my solar system to have them cleaned. They told me their company does not provide any kind of routine maintenance, which was disappointing. So I did some research and found the best method to properly clean any solar array. I bought a soft bristle brush and cleaned my panels. After cleaning the panels the first time, I was blown away and noticed a little over 30% increase in production.
