Temecula Valley Historical Society Antique Store
The Temecula Valley Historical Society was founded in 2001. The Society is a 501(c)(3) corporation. Our mission is identifying, preserving and promoting the historic legacy of the Temecula valley. Projects have included the placement of plaques and markers on historic buildings and sites in Old Town Temecula, the restoration of the Louis Wolf Tomb, the restoration of a stagecoach and the production of a DVD about the local history. The Society provides self guided walking tour maps of Old Town Temecula to local shopkeepers for public distribution. Monthly meetings are held at the Little Temecula History Museum which include speaker presentations on the local history of Temecula Valley. The Society also organizes local field trips as well as sending out volunteers to the community to educate children on the valley's historic legacy. We invite you to browse around our web site. Diana is a local resident whose passion and more than 3 decades of experience with horses provides a safe, relaxing and memorable experience to all riders. The rides are conducted with the highest level of professionalism and service with experienced and knowledgeable guides that work hard to exceed your expectations. But that's not the whole story... Over the years there has been a dramatic increase in the number of horses abused by their owners. These horses are often abandoned or just turned loose to fend for themselves, usually resulting in starvation and loss of life. Through the assistance of a local veterinarian, Diana has rehabilitated more than 50 horses. Living comfortably on a 20 acre ranch in Temecula Valley, these lovely horses get the treatment and care that they deserve while happily fulfilling a purpose once again. Through your patronage and support we can continue to take in more of these amazing animals. All proceeds are used for feed, medical care, and farrier services. Through natural horsemanship training we can recondition, rehabilitate and retrain these horses to live a healthy and productive life. Our experienced trainers evaluate each and every horse and condition them for touring guests through the vineyards. Every rescue horse will not fit this program. Our Heritage Our story begins in 1971 along the cobblestone streets of Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. It was here where Starbucks opened its first store, offering fresh-roasted coffee beans, tea and spices from around the world for our customers to take home. Our name was inspired by the classic tale, “Moby-Dick,” evoking the seafaring tradition of the early coffee traders. Ten years later, a young New Yorker named Howard Schultz would walk through these doors and become captivated with Starbucks coffee from his first sip. After joining the company in 1982, a different cobblestone road would lead him to another discovery. It was on a trip to Milan in 1983 that Howard first experienced Italy’s coffeehouses, and he returned to Seattle inspired to bring the warmth and artistry of its coffee culture to Starbucks. Starbucks would soon expand to Chicago and Vancouver, Canada and then on to California, Washington, D.C. and New York.
