Caesars Appliance Sales & Service legacy began with the original owner Cesare Del Prato when he worked on televisions and appliances in Italy at the age of 15. He moved to California in 1960 to find work repairing appliances which landed him in Gardena, California, where he worked for an appliance repair shop mastering his trade. After a successful 10 years in Gardena, it was time for Cesare to move his wife and three children to Mission Viejo in 1970, where he started his own appliance repair business. In 1971 Cesare moved his company to Laguna Niguel offering appliance service, parts and sales to the wonderful community in which he and his family lived. He and his wife ran the business together for several years with their kids eventually expanding office personnel, shop help and field tech service. Our Heritage Our story begins in 1971 along the cobblestone streets of Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. It was here where Starbucks opened its first store, offering fresh-roasted coffee beans, tea and spices from around the world for our customers to take home. Our name was inspired by the classic tale, “Moby-Dick,” evoking the seafaring tradition of the early coffee traders. Ten years later, a young New Yorker named Howard Schultz would walk through these doors and become captivated with Starbucks coffee from his first sip.
