An athlete since I was 5 years old, I have developed a passion for the human body. Not only for its ability to perform physically, but also to facilitate self-healing. Since childhood, my parents have said that I possess “magic hands” and a powerful touch that has been refined through education and experience. Being an athlete from childhood, then competing as an amateur body builder, and having the opportunities to train with many amazing athletic trainers, alternative health practitioners and doctors is where my passion began. I have been a Massage Therapist and Bodyworker for over 24 years and love what I do! Having graduated from the American Institute of Massage Therapy and Sports Training, with more than 1100 hours of formal training. I bring a wealth of experience and aptitude to the massage table. As a professional member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, I am committed to providing my clients with treatments that exceed their expectations. In 1939, Joe Albertson, a former Safeway district manager, took $5,000 he saved and $7,500 he borrowed from his wife’s Aunt Bertie, and partnered with L.S. Skaggs to open his first Albertsons store on 16th and State Streets in Boise, Idaho. Joe knew the keys of running a really great store, and it was all about working hard for the customers: give them the products they want, at a fair price, with lots of tender, loving care. Joe was innovative, too. He had one of the first in-store magazine racks in the country along with a scratch bakery and fresh ice cream made in-store. He worked hard, seven days a week, on his vision to build his company, and through his inspiring work ethic and tireless determination to run the best store, the first store thrived. Just two years later, he had opened two other stores in neighboring communities and grew the fledgling company’s sales to over $1 million by the end of 1941. Our Heritage Our story begins in 1971 along the cobblestone streets of Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. It was here where Starbucks opened its first store, offering fresh-roasted coffee beans, tea and spices from around the world for our customers to take home. Our name was inspired by the classic tale, “Moby-Dick,” evoking the seafaring tradition of the early coffee traders. Welk Resort Golf Course
The Fountain is one of two 18-hole golf courses at the Welk Resort San Diego. The other course, the Oaks, is an 18-hole, par-3 course that is great short-game practice for all skill levels. Although the Fountain is an executive-length course, it is as formidable as most full-length golf courses. Even low handicappers will be tested by the narrow layout, which covers a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. In addition to a slew of strategically placed bunkers and trees that demand accuracy, water hazards also come into play on a few holes. There are many risk-reward opportunities throughout the course where good strategy will reap many benefits. The golf course has some tricky holes but it is not overly punishing, making it more approachable for a wide range of skill levels. [read more]
