Our Story Our journey commenced in 2021, upon my retirement from 22 years of service in the United States Navy. As I transitioned into civilian life and pondered my next steps, unexpectedly, I discovered the captivating sport of pickleball. What began as a mere hobby swiftly transformed into a crucial outlet for navigating the challenges of adapting to civilian life. Moreover, pickleball presented a unique opportunity for me to embrace my new role as a father to a young boy named Billy, affectionately known as 'The Bill.' Through this transition, I've gained insight into the profound difficulties many service members encounter. Leveraging my own experiences, I am passionately committed to supporting our veterans. 'The Bill Pickleball' embodies a vision of family and community. Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment where individuals can refine their pickleball proficiency while cultivating essential life skills. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including private individual instruction, group lessons, and one-on-one drilling sessions tailored to pickleball enthusiasts of all levels. In addition to embracing our newfound passion for pickleball, we are deeply grateful for the unwavering support and inspiration from William “Bill” Lunney and Stephanie Lunney. Vince’s Spaghetti restaurants are the only restaurants for Real Italian Spaghetti. When Vince’s Spaghetti first opened in Ontario, California in September 1945; it was a simple, six stool, open air restaurant without a kitchen. Back then, Grandma Rose prepared all of the food in her kitchen 50 yards away and hand carried it to the customers. The original Vince’s Spaghetti was located on Highway 70-99, which was the main road to Palm Springs at the time. The business was run by three brothers and their wives. By 1968, Vince’s was billed as the largest spaghetti restaurant west of the Mississippi River (with a kitchen!), seating more than 400 people. Today, because of your patronage, we’ve grown to 3 locations, all family owned and operated, still serving Grandma Rose’s original recipes. The Temecula location is an Express specializing in serving the community the original recipes as our historic first location yet ready for your both for Dine-In and for Drive-Thru. Our Heritage Our story begins in 1971 along the cobblestone streets of Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. It was here where Starbucks opened its first store, offering fresh-roasted coffee beans, tea and spices from around the world for our customers to take home. Our name was inspired by the classic tale, “Moby-Dick,” evoking the seafaring tradition of the early coffee traders. My name is Gustavo Peker and I am the owner of Del Mar Watch and Clock Repair in San Clemente. A little background about me, I’m a native of Argentina where I learned watch repair and watch making since an early age shadowing my father, Jacobo, a master watch maker who founded in Buenos Aires the only watch making school of South America at the time. “My father, Jacobo, helped me so much, and taught me everything I know, and everything I have is because of him, and so my wish is to honor his memory by continuing my trade in watch making.” The watch repair business isn’t what it used to be because of disposable watches – “we change a lot more batteries these days” – but there is still a call for my skills as we still do a lot of repair work on old watches with sentimental value for their owners. We keep hundreds of watches that we use only for parts, since many watches we see are not made anymore. When we can’t find an original part or fashion something from a similar part, we can make it from scratch. Working with the tiniest of screws, some smaller than the head of a common ant, We ca repair six to eight watches a day. Our clientele it’s mostly from the San Clemente area but we also serve customers with unique time pieces from all around the country. “They know what they are doing here and they are fast – they’re old school for sure,” said Phyllis Nelson of San Clemente, a frequent customer.
