Our History Some say natural is the new normal – but at Sprouts, there’s nothing new about natural foods! Back in 2002, we opened our first store in an effort to make natural foods accessible to everyone. Up until then, grocers offering fresh, organic choices were either too expensive to shop or too hard to find. We wanted to be different! No more weaving through a maze of narrow aisles without anyone offering to help. No more ingredient lists featuring 40 unpronounceable chemicals. And most of all, no more spending an entire paycheck for food from the honest effort of a farmer – not a factory. To us, being different is good! People thought we were crazy when we wouldn’t sell the country’s top-selling sodas, snacks and candy. But we believed that eating clean and living healthy was more than just a trend. At Sprouts, it’s our passion. And we knew that by focusing on farm-fresh produce and other healthy, affordable items, we could create a grocery experience where you didn’t have to be wealthy to eat healthy! So think of Sprouts as all of the very best parts of a real farmers market under one roof, open every day of the week. With our commitment to value in every department, and knowledgeable and friendly team members, we’re confident that once you shop Sprouts you’ll think different is good too. Today we have grown to more than 380 stores with approximately 31,000 team members. It’s these individuals who are the key to our success. They’re the ones who put good at the heart of everything we do at Sprouts … every day, in every community, with every guest. [read more]

Some of life’s most valuable lessons are passed down from fathers to their sons. Whether it’s riding a bike, tying a tie or changing a tire, or how to do an AC tune-up the right way, lessons fathers teach can last a lifetime. I remember, riding along with my dad Ron on HVAC service calls and installs, learning the technical side of the trade and the value of a dollar. My father taught me to work hard and always “Go The Extra Mile” for each customer. I loved working alongside my dad and soaking up every lesson he taught me, it helped me develop a passion for helping people and taught me the right way to “Wow” a customer. Thanks to the lessons I learned from my father, and a lot of hard work, We Care has grown into to be the #1 AC and Plumbing company in all of Southern California, even winning several awards for our customer service from both customers and from our peers. Hard work and determination paid off, and the company now boasts over 150 team members that make up the We Care Family. With headquarters in state-of-the-art facilities in both Murrieta and Orange, California, We Care continues to flourish and build its loyal following through the unmatched value it provides to customers. In addition to being a household name throughout Southern California, the We Care family now spans three generations with my sons Tyler and Jacob both following in mine and my father’s footsteps. By working their way from delivery drivers to full-time installers and technicians, they are learning all facets of the business. Who knows… one day they may take the lessons they’ve learned from their father and expand We Care into a nationwide enterprise. Whatever the future holds for We Care, it’s destined to be one bolstered with family values and compassion for the communities we serve. Thank you for trusting our We Care Family in your home for three generations. We’re looking forward to going the extra mile with your plumbing, heating, and cooling needs for many generations to come! – Rusty Cochran, Founder [read more]

Who We Are The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is a nonprofit veterans service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, guard and reserve forces. We trace our roots back to 1899 when veterans of the Spanish-American War (1898) and the Philippine Insurrection (1899-1902) founded local organizations to secure rights and benefits for their service. Many arrived home wounded or sick. There was no medical care or veterans’ pension for them, and they were left to care for themselves. In their misery, some of these veterans banded together and formed organizations that would eventually band together and become known as the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. After chapters were formed in Ohio, Colorado and Pennsylvania, the movement quickly gained momentum. Today, membership stands at nearly 1.7 million members of the VFW and its Auxiliary. Our voice was instrumental in establishing the Veterans Administration, development of the national cemetery system, in the fight for compensation for Vietnam vets exposed to Agent Orange and for veterans diagnosed with Gulf War Syndrome. In 2008, we won a long-fought victory with the passing of a GI Bill for the 21st Century, giving expanded educational benefits to America’s active duty service members, and members of the guard and reserves, fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. We were the driving force behind the Veterans Access and Accountability Act of 2014, and continually fight for improved VA medical centers services for women veterans. Besides helping fund the creation of the Vietnam, Korean War, World War II and Women in Military Service memorials, in 2005 the VFW became the first veterans’ organization to contribute to building the new Disabled Veterans for Life Memorial, which opened in November 2010. And in 2015, we became the first supporter of the National Desert Storm War Memorial which is planned for construction at our nation’s capital. We have many programs and services that work to support veterans, service members and their families, as well as communities worldwide. No One Does More For Veterans. Our Core Values: •Always put the interests of our members first •Treat donors as partners in our cause •Promote patriotism •Honor military service •Ensure the care of veterans and their families •Serve our communities •Promote a positive image of the VFW •Respect the diversity of veteran opinions [read more]

Our Heritage Our story begins in 1971 along the cobblestone streets of Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. It was here where Starbucks opened its first store, offering fresh-roasted coffee beans, tea and spices from around the world for our customers to take home. Our name was inspired by the classic tale, “Moby-Dick,” evoking the seafaring tradition of the early coffee traders. Ten years later, a young New Yorker named Howard Schultz would walk through these doors and become captivated with Starbucks coffee from his first sip. After joining the company in 1982, a different cobblestone road would lead him to another discovery. It was on a trip to Milan in 1983 that Howard first experienced Italy’s coffeehouses, and he returned to Seattle inspired to bring the warmth and artistry of its coffee culture to Starbucks. By 1987, we swapped our brown aprons for green ones and embarked on our next chapter as a coffeehouse. Starbucks would soon expand to Chicago and Vancouver, Canada and then on to California, Washington, D.C. and New York. By 1996, we would cross the Pacific to open our first store in Japan, followed by Europe in 1998 and China in 1999. Over the next two decades, we would grow to welcome millions of customers each week and become a part of the fabric of tens of thousands of neighborhoods all around the world. In everything we do, we are always dedicated to Our Mission: With every cup, with every conversation, with every community - we nurture the limitless possibilities of human connection. [read more]
